Leamon Williams Jr., M.D. - Orthopedic Surgeon

Leamon Williams, M.D., Orthopedic Surgeon

As physician champion and independent orthopedic surgeon on the staff, Dr. Williams leads our comprehensive joint replacement program. He specializes in minimally invasive techniques, including the anterior hip approach, which often offer less pain, a shorter hospital stay and faster recovery than traditional solutions.

Dr. Williams earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, and was the CCIW Conference Tennis Champion. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN, followed by an orthopaedic residency at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, OH.

When he’s not with his patients, Dr. Williams enjoys spending time with his wife and children, and participating in activities such as tennis, skiing, piano and fishing.

Phillip Penny, M.D. - Orthopedic Surgeon

Phillip Penny, M.D., Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Penny specializes in Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery. He received his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, TN.

Followed by his residency at McLaren Greater Lansing, Michigan State University in Lansing MI. As well as a Research Fellowship from Nuffield Orthopedic Centre in Oxford, U.K.

His training as a generalist allows him to treat a variety of conditions and form a long-term relationship with his patients.

Dr. Penny is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopaedic Trauma Association, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics, and the American Medical Association.

When he is not with his patients, Dr. Penny enjoys many hobbies such as: Wood-working, cycling, golf, hockey, and traveling with his family.
